Streaming giant Netflix announced on Monday their first kids original series from India. Aimed at the preschool audience, “Mighty Little Bheem,” produced in partnership with Indian animation studio Green Gold Animation, is based on enormously popular character Chhota Bheem.
Created by Rajiv Chilaka and based on the mythological character Bheem from the Indian epic the Mahabharata, the “Chhota Bheem” action comedy animated series aired on Turner Broadcasting’s Pogo TV channel from 2008. The franchise has also spawned several TV films and three feature films.
